Injectable Treatments

Neuromodulators are injectables that target dynamic lines and wrinkles. These types of creases form whenever you laugh, frown, squint, cry, or smile. Neuromodulators intercept the wrinkle-formation process through the use of chemical signals that temporarily block the contraction of facial muscles. With these tiny muscles incapacitated, the skin smooths out, and the face appears more youthful and relaxed.

Neuromodulators include BOTOX, Jeuveau, and Dysport, among others. These injectables are among the most popular and effective treatments performed today in the United States and abroad. At Althea we will personalize your treatment, targeting the areas where you feel the most change is needed. Improvements typically last 3-4 months, at which point your neuromodulator session can be repeated.

Dermal fillers (also called soft tissue fillers) are products made with hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, poly-l-lactic acid, polymethyl methacrylate, or collagen. They are used to fill in depressions and indentations, replenish lost facial volume, improve facial symmetry, plump and augment the lips, and enhance definition in the cheeks and jawline. Unlike plastic surgery, fillers are non-invasive and take just minutes to administer. The trade-off is that results only last about 6-24 months before treatment will need to be repeated.

Dermal fillers can address a range of age-related cosmetic issues, including depleted lip volume, sunken cheekbones, tear troughs, wrinkles and lines, loss of definition in the jawline, and many other common aesthetic concerns.
